Countries that celebrate Christmas around the world.

This is my presentation about Countries that  celebrate Christmas around the world. I had to think of three countries that I have to write about the contours.

  1. Happy new year Vahoi! I hope that you are having a lovely start to 2016. I really enjoyed reading your slideshow about Christmas in Hong Kong, Japan, and the United Kingdom. I have been lucky enough to celebrate Christmas in Japan and the UK over the past few years and I found that both were very special. Christmas wasn't a very popular holiday in Nagano City (where I lived in Japan) and I actually worked the entire day as an English teacher! When I was living in the UK, however, we had the day off and spent it eating turkey, Yorkshire pudding, chestnut loaf, mashed potatoes (and gravy) with friends. It was a lot of fun!

If you would like to learn more about countries, like the UK, please consider joining the Summer Learning Journey this month. I will be online each day (Monday - Friday) reading blog posts and commenting. I'd love to read what you write!

Wishing you a very happy 2016, Rachel

  2. Hi,

I really enjoyed your slideshow! I'm from Canada so we have Christmas in the winter. I would love to visit New Zealand and experience a summer Christmas! It would be very cool to have a bbq for Christmas lunch! In my family we usually have a hot Christmas dinner - soup, turkey, mashed potatoes, roasted veggies. We also get a real Christmas tree - it has a wonderful pine smell!

I hope you enjoyed your holiday! Best of luck at school in the upcoming year!

    Theresa
